Kenya’s High Commissioner in Uganda poaches for EAC integration

Kenya’s High Commissioner to Uganda Ambassador Kiema Kilonzo has underscored the ongoing integration processes being spearheaded by the six heads of state in the East African Community.

H.E Kilonzo says the success of the integration process including political federation will harmonize the citizens of the EAC member states in all spears of development.

The Ambassador spoke on Tuesday when he met Uganda’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs Permanent Secretary Ambassador Patrick Mugoya during a courtesy call in his office in Kampala, Uganda.

“I am happy that the Presidents of the six countries forming East Africa Community (EAC); Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda, Burundi and South Sudan are working towards uniting the member states and successful integration process”, said H.E. Kilonzo.

H.E. Kilonzo hailed the outcome of the just concluded EAC Heads of State Summit in Arusha, Tanzania where he received President Uhuru Kenyatta when he attended the event.

Ambassador Mugoya_ reaffirmed his support and willingness to work with the Ambassador Kilonzo to strengthen the fraternal bonds of friendship and cooperation that exist between Kenya and Uganda.

H.E Kilonzo expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the Government and the people of Uganda for their friendliness towards the Government and people of Kenya and noted that relations between the two sister countries are excellent

The two exchanged views on regional and international issues of mutual interest.
