The Wiper Democratic Movement-Kenya has unveiled its party candidates for the vacant Machakos senate seat.
The party unveiled its party candidates for the vacant Machakos senate seat and Kitise/Kithuke Ward in Makueni Constituency.
Agnes Kavindu Muthama will fly Wiper’s flag in Machakos while Sebastian Muli will be the party’s candidate in Kitise.
Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka at the same time accused Deputy President William Ruto of hypocrisy.
Kalonzo said the DP is opposed to rotational presidency championing for one united Kenya while when he was given a 50 per cent stake in government in 2013, he ended up considering his tribesmen in his appointments.
Wiper boss Kalonzo Musyoka on Wednesday accused Deputy President William Ruto of hypocrisy over the rotational presidency debate.
Kalonzo said Ruto’s secondments to the 2013 Jubilee administration were all from his native Kalenjin, unlike Uhuru who distributed his slots to the rest of the country.
“Who doesn’t know that President Uhuru Kenyatta got 50 per cent of government and William Ruto got another 50 per cent of the government. At least Uhuru’s appointment reflected a national leader,” Kalonzo said.
“His counterpart did what? Look at the structure you will be amazed.”
The former Vice President backed President Uhuru Kenyatta’s proposal that it is time for another community to lead the country saying that is the way to go.
