MY NEW YEAR MESSAGE TO THE GREAT PEOPLE OF KENYA
Fellow Kenyans,
As we bid goodbye to 2020 and usher in the New Year 2021, I convey my goodwill message of joy and hope to all of you my fellow countrymen.
While 2020 has been a year of great challenges, owing mainly to the vagaries of the Covid-19 pandemic, the year 2021 holds a great promise of the rebirth and recovery of this great Nation.
With new Covid-19 vaccines in the pipeline, I hope the Government will move with speed to procure affordable and effective vaccines so that, by March 2021, all Kenyans should have been vaccinated, so as to stem the spread of the pandemic.
2021 is also the year of the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) Referendum, which is expected to bring a lot of positive changes in the way the political affairs of this Nation are run.
I strongly urge you, fellow countrymen, to continue to embrace and nurture the spirit of Nationhood. Our political differences and ideologies notwithstanding, we are all Kenyans with one desire to see a truly prosperous and peaceful country.
We should all strive to ensure that no imaginary dichotomies separate us from achieving our socio economic development. To achieve these, we need peace and a harmonious coexistence. Kenyans are known world over for their love, warmth, tolerance, and optimism.
We should ever be vigilant against any actions that would make us cease to hold steadfastly onto these virtues. This means, among other things, that our politics must be civil and measured. Irrespective of our political affiliations, we should all bear in mind that Kenya comes first before individual interests. We should all strive to foster harmony and unity among ourselves.
Most importantly, let us all continue putting our trust in God Almighty; for, it is only He who can truly lead a Nation to blessings and prosperity.
May 2021 come with abundant blessings and prosperity to each one of you!
