Kitui County 3rd Annual Cultural festival and Goat Auction held at Nguni, Mwingi Central Constituency went on successfully today.
Kitui people had something to celebrate and interact socially, a Cultural festival and goat auction that is held annually, an event which is sponsored and spearheaded by Kitui Senator, Hon. Enoch Kiio Wambua and partner organizations.
It was an event that saw different modes of the kamba culture being presented.
Traditional foods, drinks and dance was showcased at Nguni grounds as part of Celebrations.
The event was graced by National ICT Cabinet Secretary Joe Mucheru, C.E.O Kenya Film and Classification Board (KFCB) Dr.Ezekiel Mutua, Mwingi Central Mp Hon.Gedion Mulyungi, National VIP protection Commander Murage, Kitui County Assembly Deputy Speaker and Kisasi Ward MCA Hon.Kasee Musya, Kwa Mutonga/Kithumula Ward MCA Hon.Thuvi David and Nguni ward MCA Hon.Kiruru among other leaders.
In his speech, Senator Wambua encouraged Kitui People to stand for what is right and which serves justice. He promised to firmly fight corruption which has been rampant in the County Government administration under leadership of Governor Ngilu. In this, residents vowed to stand with Senator in delivering to Mwananchi and in his duties of oversight.
The event went in success as a total of 518 goats were bought by various guests, among the Wiper Party Leader Stephen Musyoka, Baringo Senator Hon.Gedion Moi (absent) and those who were present.
The community applauded Senator for his good heart of promoting people’s livelihoods economically.
Senator Wambua thanked Kitui people for upholding justice. He cautioned people to choose and vote leaders wisely, sending a signal to those who have failed to deliver to Kitui people as per their duties to be ready face full wrath when time for elections come.
