Safaricom gives September 26 as deadline for Sh1000 notes

There is a mud rush to clear with the Sh1,000 notes a head of the September 30, deadline.

And there is uncertainty as other financial institutions set their deadline before the Central Bank of Kenya (CBK) last date for the use of the old currencies.

Safaricom mobile money transfer will not transact the Sh1,000 notes after September 26, 2019.
