The Kenya Red Cross has introduced a new TV Channel that aims at empowering youths to explore their talents to earn a living.
The new TV station, named the Switch TV which was officially launched on Monday, targets the youth between 18 to 35 years.
Speaking during the launch at Boma hotel, the Chief Executive of Red Cross Kenya, Mr. Abbas Gullet said that the TV station will offer local and international content with entertainment in a mix of drama, comedy reality, sports among other features..
‘’This is a significant milestone for us in our quest to empower and entertain the youths through entertainment. We believe that the youth will use platform to discuss their challenges guided high quality and engaging local production. Our content will be strikingly different and we hope will be able to change the narrative amongst the youth as we influence them positively,’ said Gullet.
Therefore with the launch of the new channel the lives of many youths in Kenya is going to be changed for the better and the increasing number of job sneakers will decrease.
